The Fine Gael leader, Enda Kenny, has said that the controversy over his Justice spokesman's decision to break party ranks and vote with the Government in the Dail yesterday was 'now closed'.
Deputy John Deasy today apologised to Mr Kenny for the embarrassment caused by his vote in favour of the Immigration Bill.
Fine Gael is to remind its parliamentary party of its guidelines on voting procedures to ensure full compliance with the party whip in future.
