Ulster Unionist Party president, Reverend Martin Smyth, and two other MPs, David Burnside and Jeffrey Donaldson, have been suspended from the party.
The three resigned the party whip at Westminster earlier this week in protest at party leader David Trimble's policy on the peace process.
Yesterday, Mr Trimble said a special disciplinary committee had been set up to deal with the dissident MPs.
