UN 'concerned' about Aung San Suu Kyi

The UN has expressed concern about the whereabouts of Myanmar's democracy campaigner, Aung San Suu Kyi.

The ruling military took her and other opposition leaders into custody on Friday and sealed off her party's headquarters.

Clashes between supporters and opponents of her National League for Democracy (NLD) had left four people dead.

The military government described the detentions as 'protective custody'.

The party headquarters in the capital, Yangon, were closed, and a party official said offices had been closed elsewhere in the country, too.
