An emergency meeting of the Ulster Unionist Executive has been called for tomorrow week to discuss the party's response to reported plans to disband the Royal Irish Regiment in the North as part of the demilitarisation process.
Party chairman James Cooper sent out letters to the 100 or so members this evening.
The meeting will be held at party headquarters, Cunningham House in East Belfast.
