President Bush has warned North Korea that it would face tougher measures if it continues with its controversial nuclear programme.
Speaking after talks with the Japenese Prime Minister, Junichiro Koizumi, he said anything less than what he called a complete, verifiable and irreversible elimination of the programme would be unacceptable.
