The President of the IFA has launched the Association's counter proposals for CAP Reform and the World Trade talks.
John Dillon said that Commissioner Fischler's proposals would result in the winding down of the CAP with EU payments totally de-coupled from production.
He said the IFA policy was that CAP supports must be linked to productive farming.
He added that the IFA proposals would eliminate the bureaucracy of the current system & give farmers freedom to respond to market requirements.
