The authorities in Hong Kong say 12 more people have been killed by the SARS virus and 31 others have been infected.
The figures bring the death toll in the territory to 81 and the total number of cases recorded to 1,358.
The flu-like disease, which is believed to have originated in southern China, reached Hong Kong last month.
It has since been spread around the world by travellers.
