A group of politicians, union leaders and anti-war activists have called on the Taoiseach to make a clear public statement in opposition to the war in Iraq during the visit by George Bush and Tony Blair to the North this week.
In a statement, the group - which includes Green Party TDs Trevor Sergent and John Gormley - say they object to the peace process being used as a public relations event for this war.
Meanwhile, Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams has said he will encourage republicans to protest against the war during President Bush's visit.
