An Post says up to one million Christmas cards not yet delivered will finally reach letterboxes today and tomorrow.
The company blames the delays on an increase in volume, changes in processing systems and a 5% rise in volume this Christmas.
The undelivered cards and letters are mainly in the Dublin area where an automated sorting system came on stream six weeks ago.
