Work begins to preserve dinosaur prints in Scotland

Excavation work is beginning on an island today in a bid to preserve some of the oldest and largest dinosaur footprints found in Scotland.

The fossilised prints, which are thought to be 165 million years old, were discovered by a member of the public on the east coast of Skye.

The island has become known as Scotland's Jurassic Isle due to the large number of dinosaur remains uncovered there.
