Greens launch campaign for No vote in referendum

The Green Party has criticised some anti-Nice campaigners for raising the issue of immigration in the referendum campaign.

Green Party Chairman, John Gormley, said that they did not believe there would be a flood of immigrants if the Treaty was accepted and accused those who raised the issue of scare-mongering.

Launching the party's campaign for a No vote, Deputy Gormley said they would be concentrating on what is actually in the Treaty and on issues like democracy and accountability.
