Police in East Belfast are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house early this morning.
The house owner arrived back at the house at Ravenswood Park and was able to extinguish the flames around 1.00am.
He was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation but was otherwise uninjured.
Minor damage was caused to the kitchen and there was some smoke damage elsewhere.
Elsewhere in Belfast, British Army bomb experts made safe pipe bombs at Crumlin Road and Westland Road.
However a security alert at the PSNI headquarters is now over. The object turned out to be a legitimate parcle which had been delivered at the front gate at Knock Road.
Meanwhile an object at Glenbryn turned out to be a hoax.
