A four and a half year old girl has been killed and ten people were injured - two of whom are in a critical condition - in an accident involving three cars and a lorry outside the village of Adare in County Limerick.
The accident happened on the Tralee side of the town shortly before one o'clock at a junction known locally as Murphy's Cross where the main Limerick-Kerry road turns for the village of Ballingarry.
It is understood the lorry was travelling behind the three cars in the same direction when the collision occurred.
The little girl who died had a twin, who was among the injured.
It is believed the occupants of the three cars are related and were travelling in convoy returning from holidays.
