As Denmark takes over the Presidency of the European Union from Spain, its government has been outlining the priorities for the six months ahead.
The Foreign Minister, Per Stig Moller, said that one of Denmark's main commitments would be the Middle East.
However, Denmark's agenda would be dominated by a wish to complete negotiations with up to ten countries that want to join the European Union. He said that the candidate countries had made great efforts and the EU had to deliver on its promises.
