EU summit continues in Seville

The two-day summit of European Union leaders is continuing in the Spanish city of Seville. The summit is focusing on illegal immigration and EU enlargement.

EU leaders are expected to back a plan to increase pressure on third countries to take back any of their nationals deemed to be illegal immigrants in the EU.

The plan is intended to increase the rate of deportations from the EU states by tying trade and aid deals to a country's willingness to co-operate with EU immigration and asylum policy.
