Initial results from the general election in the Czech republic show a narrow lead for the ruling Social democrat party.
They have over 30% of the votes with the main opposition conservative party, the Civil Democrats, on 23% with over 40% of votes counted.
Neither grouping will command a clear majority in the 200 seat parliament leading to the formation of a coalition government.
