Noonan accuses FF of favouring well off

The Fine Gael leader, Michael Noonan, has said a vote for Fianna Fáil would be a vote for greed and selfishness. Mr Noonan said Fianna Fáil favoured the well off, whereas Fine Gael supported community values and a compassionate approach to the less well off.

He criticised the lack of political direction for the semi-state companies. He said the mismanagement that had put Aer Lingus in its present position was repeated in Aer Rianta, RTÉ and CIÉ.

Mr Noonan was speaking in Letterkenny. He said Fine Gael wanted an Ireland built on a sense of community, where everyone had a right to the best education, to a roof over their head and the right to be looked after when sick or elderly.
