Terms of Morris Tribunal too limted, say families

Opposition parties have called on the Minister for Justice to meet the legal representatives of the McBreartys and the other families involved in the Donegal Inquiry into activities by certain members of the Garda Siochana.

The call came after a statement was issued on behalf of the families saying the terms of reference of the Morris Tribunal were too limited and they can no longer afford legal representation at the Tribunal. However, a spokesperson for Minister John O'Donoghue said that the question of legal representation is a matter for the Tribunal itself and that will be established by the Minister in the coming week.
