Israel attacks West Bank targets

Israeli forces have attacked Palestinian buildings in the West Bank town of Nablus. Israeli F-16 jets and helicopter gunships attacked three buildings, including a Palestinian Authority office and a police compound. No casualties were reported.

The attacks followed a Palestinian suicide bombing in a Jewish settlement on the West Bank, which left two Israeli teenagers dead. Twenty-seven others were injured in the incident. The Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, is set to convene a meeting of the security cabinet later in the day to discuss the suicide attack.

Officials from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing. However, the Israeli government says that it holds Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat responsible for the attack.
