Five people have been killed and at least 25 injured after an apparent suicide bomber attacked a wedding reception in the northern Israeli town of Hadera. Reports say that the attacker was among the dead.
The man tried to detonate explosives attached to his body at the entrance to the hall, but he was prevented from doing so by security guards. However, he then threw a hand grenade into the crowd.
It is reported that the attack has been claimed by the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed group linked to the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction.
