O'Rourke to quiz airport boss over Lawlor arrival

Mary O'Rourke is to seek information relating to Liam Lawlor's return through Dublin Airport recently. A spokesman confirmed earlier that the Minister for Public Enterprise is to write to the Chairman of the Board of Aer Rianta, Noel O'Hanlon, tomorrow.

This afternoon, Fine Gael called on Mr O'Hanlon and the Minister to explain who put in place the "special arrangements" which allowed Mr Lawlor to slip through the airport away from the normal channels and the gaze of the media.

Mr Lawlor was returning from the US to serve his prison sentence at Mountjoy after the Christmas holiday. Earlier, it was revealed that Dermot O'Leary, a member of the Fianna Fáil National Executive and a board member of Aer Rianta, had made the arrangements.
