Crucial negotiations affecting the future of the fishing industry will begin tomorrow in Brussels and are expected to go on for two days.
Fishing organisation representatives are in Brussels for the talks and say that the modernisation plan for the Irish fishing fleet is at stake.
There are also fears about the effects the proposals by the European Commission will have on 6,000 jobs in the industry here.
The Commission wants to reduce the size of the fishing fleet and to impose huge cuts on fish catches.
