Scottish media group to buy Today FM

Scottish Radio Holdings announced this morning that it will buy the 76% of Today FM it does not already own for over stg£36m. The deal is subject to the approval of the Broadcasting Commission and the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

The deal could mean a big windfall for shareholders in the radio station, which include Riverdance founders John McColgan and Moya Doherty. SRH said this morning that its results for the year to the end of September showed a fall of 13% to £16m.
