Emilie Schindler, who helped her husband Oskar save thousands of Jews from Nazi death camps during the Second World War, has died at the age of 94.
Mrs Schindler had recently returned to Germany, having lived in Argentina since 1949. She had often claimed that her role was overshadowed by her more famous husband. Oskar Schindler's story was told in the Steven Spielberg film, Schindler's List. She had been separated for over 40 years from Mr Schindler, who died in 1974.
