Israeli helicopters destroy intelligence offices

Palestinian security sources say that Israeli helicopter gunships have destroyed an office of the Palestinian intelligence services in Dura. Dura is situated at the western entrance of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.

Witnesses said that at least one person was lightly wounded in the attack, during which three missiles were fired on the building. The Israeli Army has refused to comment on the strike, carried out on autonomous Palestinian territory.

Earlier, three Israelis were wounded in bomb attacks in east Jerusalem today. A woman was wounded when a car bomb exploded in the settler district of Giva Hatzarfatit and two more people were slightly injured by a car bomb in Gilo.

Israeli radio said that the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine had claimed responsibility for the attacks and had threatened more were to follow. The PFLP's leader, Abu Ali Mustafa, was assassinated last week, and his followers have vowed revenge since.

In an interview published in the independent Jordanian weekly Al-Hadath today, PFLP political bureau member Abu Ahmad Fuad said that the group planned revenge attacks inside Israel and against Israeli leaders.

"The PFLP plans on retaliating the assassination of Abu Ali Mustafa with military operations in the West Bank, Gaza Strip or even territory occupied in 1948 by Israel," he said.
