The new Southern Cross Route motorway in Dublin has been opened after three years of construction. The route is the latest phase of the M50 ring road around the city.
It extends the M50 to the south of Dublin, from the Balrothery roundabout near Templeogue, through Firhouse to Ballinteer.
The M50 will eventually go all the way round to the N11 Wicklow Road.
