UUP suffers substantial losses in local elections

The Ulster Unionist Party has suffered substantial losses in the local elections in the North. The party is down 31 seats. Sinn Féin has won 108 seats, an increase of 34. The DUP has also made substantial gains. It is up 40 seats. The SDLP is marginally down with a loss of three seats while the Alliance Party is also down. It lost thirteen seats.
