Twenty Palestinians injured in Middle East clashes

More than 20 Palestinians were injured when Israeli troops fired on demonstrators in the West Bank. The army opened fire as around 4,000 demonstrators marched on an army checkpoint at the eastern edge of the Palestinian-controlled city of Nablus in the northern West Bank. Medical sources said that 20 of those injured were hit by rubber bullets and one was hit in the leg with a live bullet.
