Flood Tribunal order served on Oliver Barry now changed

The chairman of the Flood Tribunal has agreed to change an order for discovery of documents served on the concert promoter Oliver Barry. Mr Barry's solicitor said that they could not comply with parts of the order that required them to disclose all transactions over a thousand pounds. John O'Connor said that these could number tens of thousands.

Mr Justice Feargus Flood agreed to make new separate orders giving Mr Barry more time to respond, and raised the limit on transactions to those over ten thousand pounds. Lawyers for the Tribunal reminded the Chairman that Mr Barry had previously failed to disclose some of his accounts. Accounts were also opened for his benefit in another person's name. The Tribunal has adjourned for a short time to allow both sides to negotiate changes to the order.
