Aer Lingus staff to strike for 24 hours

The trade union representing Aer Lingus cabin crew staff has served notice on the national airline for a 24-hour strike on tomorrow week, October 17. IMPACT said that the 1,400 staff are protesting over pay, pensions and casual employment contracts. Tonight Aer Lingus management called a meeting of all trade union leaders and representatives to talks on Thursday.
