Milosevic can stay in power until 2001 regardless of elec

The Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic can stay in power until mid-2001, regardless of the results of Sunday's presidential election, according to the federal Prime Minister Momir Bulatovic. Speaking on television in Yugoslavia's smaller republic of Montenegro Mr Bulatovic said that under constitutional law, the mandate of the president could not be shortened and would last until its expiry in mid 2001.
