Zimbabwe's white farmers have said they will join a national strike next week to put pressure on President Robert Mugabe to end violence against opposition supporters and the occupation of their farms. A spokeswoman for the Commercial Farmers' Union said that the association's leaders had decided to support Zimbabwe's main labour movement in its call for a three-day strike from Wednesday.
