Former Dublin Assistant City and County Manger George Redmond will be sentenced next week on ten charges of failing to make tax returns. Counsel for Mr Redmond, Paddy McEntee, told the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court that his client had paid £782,000 to the Revenue Commissioners and was now a compliant taxpayer. The charges arise from Mr Redmond's arrest with almost £300,000 at Dublin Airport in February last year by officers from the Criminal Assets Bureau.
