PJ Carroll refuses to accept findings of Oireachtas smoki

Dundalk cigarette manufacturer PJ Carroll has told the Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children it does not accept the anti-smoking conclusions of the report drawn up for the committee by Deputy Alan Shatter. It also claimed the report was not legally sustainable. Deputy Shatter told the committee it was outrageous that the company was unwilling to acknowledge that the product it sold actually killed its customers and caused cancer and a range of cardiovascular diseases.
