Dana accused of trying to wreck EU funding for women’s gr

The Independent MEP for Connaught Ulster, Dana Rosemary Scallon, has been accused of trying to wreck the system of funding women's groups in the European Union. Ms Scallon says her proposed amendment would put an end to, what she described as “a monopoly situation” in the allocation of funds. But the president of the Parliament's Women’s Rights Committee says Dana's proposal is inspired by anti-abortion organisations.
