Outsiders Tipperary have beaten Kilkenny by 12 points to 1-8 to take their first All-Ireland Camogie title. Kilkenny’s Ann Downey was out to win her 13th O’Duffy Cup medal, but even her appearance as a substitute in the second half could not swing the match in Kilkenny’s favour. Instead, it was a Tipperary substitute, Caitriona Hennessy, who had the final say with the winning point.
