The authorities in Indonesia have vowed that tomorrow's general election will go ahead, despite rioting in some northern provinces. Final preparations are underway in the countdown to the country's first free, multi party elections in over forty years.
Around one hundred and twelve millon people are expected to go to the polls. Police and separatist supporters clashed overnight in the troubled province of Aceh, where there have been calls for a boycott of the elections.
