Sport: Wexford manager quits after row claims

Wexford's football manager, JJ Barrett, has quit. This follows allegations that he struck referee Micheal Curley after the county's narrow defeat to Cavan in the National Football League yesterday. Wexford, who were in contention for promotion from Division 2B, led Cavan by two points with time almost up when the referee awarded Cavan a penalty. Ronan Carolan converted to give Cavan victory by a point and the GAC is now awaiting the referee's report on the game.
