Sport: Ireland game likely to be called off

UEFA have deferred a decision until tomorrow on Saturday's Euro 2000 qualifier between the Republic of Ireland and Macedonia in Skopje. They are expected to call the match off due to the threat of air strikes by NATO against Yugoslavia. The Yugoslavia-Croatia game in the same group is also likey to be cancelled. If Saturday's match is called-off, it could go ahead on October 9, when Ireland are scheduled to play Denmark in a friendly international.
