Yvonne's midlands beetroot brownie: Today

Ingredients

Midlands Beetroot Brownie

  • 200g dark chocolate (70%)
  • 100g butter
  • 150g brown sugar
  • 2 Edd's eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 80 ml Feighery’s Farm beet bullet juice
  • 60g self-raising flour
  • 40g Fox Covert Farm milled hemp
  • 2 Tbsp Fox Covert Farm hemp hearts
  • 2 tsp sea salt flakes

Method

Melt butter and chocolate together in a bowl over a pot of simmering water

Remove from heat and stir in sugar.

Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract. Pour in beetroot juice.

Sieve the flour and milled hemp together and fold into the mix.

Pour batter into brownie pan.

Mix the hemp hearts and sea salt together and sprinkle over the top of the brownies.

Bake at 170 C for 22 mins.
