Serves 4

  • 150ml mayonnaise
  • 4 tsp. tomato ketchup
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch paprika
  • Dash of Tabasco sauce
  • 30ml brandy
  • ½  small head of iceberg lettuce-Finely shredded
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 12 cooked Dublin bay prawns or king prawns


  1. Begin by preparing the sauce. Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, paprika together and stir until well combined. Stir in the Tabasco and the brandy to suit your own tastes.
  2. Mix the shredded iceberg lettuce, cucumber, and shallots and arrange it at the bottom of the jars. Add the prawns then drizzle with the Marie Rose sauce.
  3. Serve and enjoy!
