If you've been harbouring lingering feelings of embarrassment for getting a little weepy over the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's baby earlier this month, don't worry: you're not alone.

While many of us will deny any mushy feelings about the birth of Archie Harrison Mountbatton-Windsor to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but Vogue Williams is more than comfortable to admit how much the birth moved her.

"I love the fact that the royal baby has arrived. Who doesn’t love a royal baby? It’s made me broody to have more", she said.

Admittedly, the star has a closer link to the Royal Family than most: Williams, who gave birth to son Theodore six months ago, is married to Spencer Matthews, whose brother James is married to Pippa Middleton, sister to Kate, Duke of Cambridge.

The birth has clearly made her reflect on her own experience of becoming a mother, as she thought back on the valuable lessons she learned in the weeks and months following Theodore's birth. For example, she says she regrets going back to work so quickly, and feels there were too many people visiting her and the baby at once.

"At the start, it is very overwhelming with so many coming to see the baby", she said. "Next time I will probably do things a little differently. I would take four months off and I wouldn’t just have everybody coming in because it was like a revolving door. Lessons learned for next time, though they might not be as interested in the next baby."

She also spoke about how her lifestyle has changed since giving birth, telling the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "We don’t really go out much during the week with friends because we are so busy with work and our family. That is all that there is time for at the moment."

"We used to go out two or three times a week to restaurants and we’d have a big night out at the weekend. Now Spencer certainly isn’t interested in it anymore because he doesn’t drink."
