The Renault 4 is a fun nostalgic throwback, wrapped over an electric platform

The original Renault 4, launched in 1961, was conceived as a practical, affordable family car. Over its production run until 1992, more than 8.1 million units were sold worldwide, making it a cultural icon known for its versatility.

The Renault 4 E‑Tech has now arrived in Ireland from €27,995. With its 52 kWh battery, and trims ranging from Evolution, Techno from €32,995 to Iconic from €34,995. Rivals come in the form of the Peugeot e‑2008, VW's ID.3, Fords Puma e-tech, the MG4 and Opel's Mokka. While the range is perfect for city driving and you can go further afield, charging can be slower in colder temperatures, which will add to longer journeys.
