Seat's new Ibiza, with signature triangular headlights.

The Ibiza's selling points are affordability, Front Assist technology (a system that monitors if you are getting to close to something in front and will begin braking automatically)  as standard and a boast that it has the biggest boot in its class.

However, as I have mentioned before, we are expecting a new Ford Fiesta and a new Volkswagen Polo by year's end so we'll have to wait to see what they have to offer in terms of boot space, technology and engine options.

Adaptive cruise control, a wireless charger and a GSM signal amplifier all available as options.

The triangular headlights are a signature SEAT feature on the new Ibiza.

There are three individual systems for conenctivity: Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link.

There is a choice of thee petrol engines, producing 75hp, 95hp, 115hp and 150hp. They range in capacity from 1.0 litre to 1.5 litre.  Two diesel engines but not until later this year. They are a 1.6TDI 80 horse power unit and a 95 horse power unit. The all-new SEAT Ibiza is available in four trim levels; S, SE, Xcellence and FR.

The entry level model is the S range at €14,995, while the SE range comes in at  €17,335.  The  XCELLENCE  starts at €18,745 and the FR sporty version €19,465
