When it comes to the big German manufacturers, Audi has been to the fore in offering bolder, edgier and sportier styling and the latest Q5 continues to present a competitive challenge to both Mercedes and BMW.
The car has gone on sale with a starting price of €48,350 for the entry level SE model, which has a 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine and an output of 150 horse power.
However, Audi expects to sell more of the S-tronic automatic four wheel drive version - with 190 horse power on tap and a starting price of €54,850.
Like all new cars these days, the Q5 has lost weight and gained height and length while at the same time becoming more fuel efficient.
