It may be the longest trailing of a new car in the past five years, but Skoda has finally announced that its new premium SUV is to go on sale here next February. At 4.7 metres in length the new car is aimed firmly at the upper end of the market and will see Skoda take on the likes of the BMW X5 and the Audi Q7 for the first time.

Like other Skoda cars, the Kodiaq is likely to well equipped but the challenge here will be proving that the car has the price and the premium quality combination to persuade people to the brand for the first time.
