The Fiesta has been around since 1976 and Ford Ireland is now trying to find the country's oldest model to mark its 40th anniversary. All you need to do is contact your local Ford dealer and you (and your car) could be part of their mega celebrations.
Back in the day, the car cost the equivalent of €2,365 and options included a screw-off aerial because back than people actually stole things like that! (Although that's a handy option for the car wash!)
Some 180,000 Fiestas have been sold in Ireland since then and there isn't a back road that hasn't seen one.
If you do emerge as the owner of the oldest, Ford Ireland will have you and your car along to a special 40th anniversary event in late September.
