The car, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, will be offered with two power outputs of 150hp and 190hp.
Based on the Passat Estate, the Alltrack sits 27.5mm higher and comes as standard with 4MOTION permanent all-wheel drive.
VW says it's a perfect towing vehicle (certified up to 2,200kg).
The car's exterior features modified bumpers (with underbody guard in faux stainless-steel), rugged wheel arches and side sill mouldings in 'Anthracite' and sill extensions.
Anodised silver roof rails also feature as do 'Alltrack' badges on the radiator grille and tailgate and custom 17-inch alloy wheels (upgradable to 18 or 19-inch).
Pricing will be in the region of €45,000.
Passat Alltrack will go on sale in early 2016.
