Škoda says the Octavia Laurin & Klement represents the highest levels of specification and comfort available in the Octavia range and builds on the already-generous specification of the Elegance grade.
Exterior equipment on the L&K version over and above the Elegance model includes new 18-inch Turbine alloy wheels and Bi-xenon headlights combined with LEDs.
The interior receives brown Alcantara and leather upholstery with electrically heated and adjustable driver's and front passenger seats.
A 10-speaker Canton sound system is provided for superior sound quality, and the car also has extras such as Bluetooth with voice control, telescopic front headlight washers and cornering front fog lights as standard.
"It is great to be able to offer another Laurin & Klement model in the Škoda range; this time in our biggest-selling car, the Octavia," said Raymond Leddy, Head of Marketing & Product, Škoda Ireland.
"Hot on the heels of the Superb L&K, this version will offer the finest of luxury and comfort in what remains our most important model."
The model will be offered in Ireland with a choice of two engines: the 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine, putting out 180bhp; or a 2.0-litre 150bhp TDI, with a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG in both engines.
There is also the option of four-wheel drive. This is initially only for the Combi models, but a saloon 4x4 will follow in Q4 of 2014.
