The winning project was entitled SEAT Lab Experiment.
Delaney was presented with a cheque by Adam Chamberlain, Brand Director of SEAT Ireland, which will cover his college fees for 2013 and has been offered a three-month summer internship with Owens DDB in Dublin.
His designs will also be brought to life by SEAT and used in an upcoming social media campaign.
The competition invited Ireland's most talented up-and-coming creative designers and animators studying at the IADT to create and design online marketing and promotional concepts that would connect with the Irish market, while encompassing SEAT's brand vision.
With over 60 students participating, the judges were delighted and impressed with the level of work submitted, and deliberated for over three days before declaring Delaney as the winner.
Chamberlain said: "SEAT is a brand that has a history of attitude, drive and extroverted personality - a brand where drivers see things differently, and this was what we were looking for in the entries. This is something that we found in James' project and more."
